My name is Micaiah Abts.  I have been working in strength training for the past decade.  My athletic background includes quite a bit of wrestling as well as some football, baseball, soccer, and lacrosse.

 

 

            About the Training

 

The training is based on promoting functional strength and conditioning.  The lifts are designed to challenge your cardiovascular endurance and your muscular strength and endurance.

 

This makes them ideal for helping middle and high school athletes improve and excel.  Sports are generally designed to measure performance over time; repeated effort is typically more important that one maximum burst.

            About the Barn

 

One of the Barn's greatest assets is its flexibility of space.  There is plenty of room for multiple athletes to do exercises requiring room; for example, athletes can simultaneously do frog hops and lunge walks 30 feet at a time while somebody else uses the 25' battle rope.

Your fitness experience depends largely on these variables: the person designing and leading the training; the program and its underlying philosophy; and the physcial space and equipment you use.  Below are some brief descriptions of what you'll find at Abts Training.  More detailed descriptions can be found by clicking the links at the bottom of each description.
